The Jackpot Race Explained
There are plenty of slot competitions around South Africa every month… but there is only one Jackpot Race! It takes place thrice weekly with Hollywoodbets and generally features a monthly prize pool of R3 million.
But how does it work? It’s pretty simple. The Race takes place every Wednesday, Friday at Saturday between 20:30 and 22:30. Simply spin for R2 or more on selected Spina Zonke games during these time slots and you could scoop a cash prize. We’ll include a full list of the participating games at the bottom of this page.
The Jackpot will strike at a random time between 20:30 and 22:30. You will win the race – and evening’s biggest prize – if you’re the first to spin for R2 or more after the Jackpot hits. The next person wins the second prize, the next wins the third and so on.
Your winnings will immediately be credited to your Hollywoodbets account. You can withdraw the funds or use them to keep playing Spina Zonke or any other of their products.
The Race's Three Phases
It’s important to understand the three phases of each instalment of the Jackpot Race. They are: the Initial Phase, the Race Phase and the Payout Phase.
The Initial Phase
This phase generally starts a few hours before the Jackpot Race kicks off. During this time each participating game will display a countdown timer which ticks down to the start of the race.
The Race Phase
Showtime! The Race Phase kicks off at 20:30 and can trigger any time thereafter up until 22:30. Remember, the Jackpot WILL trigger before the end of teh race.
The Payout Phase
The Payout Phase gets underway when they Jackpot is triggered. If you are one of the players who places a bet closest to the trigger of this phase, you will be assigned a winning position in the race and be paid out accordingly.
